Blepharoplasty is an ambulatory procedure (or day surgery) and does not require hospitalization.

The recovery period is fairly quick. Swelling and bruising after surgery disappears between one and two weeks after surgery depending on the extent of surgery. The surgery lasts around 1 to 3 hours to complete.
